The University of South Carolina will host “Forward Together: South Carolina and the Nation in World War I” on October 5-6, 2007. This academic symposium will examine South Carolina’s experiences during the war as well as larger national issues, including the influenza pandemic, contributions of women and African Americans, and President Woodrow Wilson's wartime leadership and legacy.
